About us:

As part of The Community Housing Group, Oakleaf Homes provide high quality, professional, property maintenance and construction services.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Co-ordinator to join us. Within this pivotal role, you will prepare initial financial feasibility reports for identified new build projects and manage the design process from planning permission through to start on site. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be required to coordinate architects, engineers, utility companies and specialist designers to provide the most cost effective design solution.

Using your skills and expertise in this field, you will develop design standards for future schemes, obtain and compare quotations and provide regular monitoring information on the progress of projects.

This role would suit a highly organised team player who can thrive under pressure and prioritise effectively to meet strict time deadlines without compromising on quality. With a strong understanding of planning and design processes, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar role, ideally within a construction environment. A basic understanding of Health and Safety Law and some basic experience of using AutoCAD would be desirable.

A flexible approach to travel and working hours is required to attend occasional meetings, external conferences and other events. You will need a valid driving licence and a suitable vehicle that is insured for business purposes.

Appointment rate will be dependent on experience and qualification and subject to satisfactory performance, incremental progression may be available on a two-yearly basis. Currently the top of this grade is £29,079 per annum.

Employees must have satisfactorily completed 16 weeks of their probation period before being considered for other posts within the organisation.
