Why GÉANT?

We offer a blazing-fast, cutting-edge network that connects scientists, researchers and academics across Europe and the world. Work at GÉANT and you’ll be supporting critical research into sustainable energy, deep space, high-energy physics, earth observation, environmental disasters, medicine and more!

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Community Research Officer to join our project team on a Fixed Term Contract basis until 31st December 2018.

The project is fundamental to European e-infrastructures, delivering the pan-European GÉANT network for scientific excellence, research, education and innovation. Your role will be to collate, analyse, interpret and distribute intelligence to support decision makers across the Company in a consolidated manner. You will gather and interpret predominantly quantitative research, although there is a requirement to work with some qualitative data sets, on services, competitors and customers and you will drive the enhancement of our online repository of community data to further the accessibility and interactivity on the site. Keeping emerging trends and themes at the forefront, you will identify risks and opportunities, advise on future requirements and provide actionable recommendations.

Educated to degree level or with relevant experience in a similar role, the successful candidate will have an enthusiasm for the research, education and not for profit sectors. You will have experience in market research which will include writing and managing the distribution of surveys and questionnaires and you will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.

With excellent communication and interpersonal skills you will be self-disciplined, have the ability to read and digest a lot of information and have an analytical and structured mind.

The willingness and ability to travel within Europe is essential.
