Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.
There are exciting opportunities within the new Westminster Street Outreach Service (SOS). We are looking for dynamic self-starters to join the team as Rapid Intervention Outreach Workers. The successful post holders will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the Westminster Street Outreach Service ensuring that rapid contact is made and sustained with those who find themselves rough sleeping in the borough.
The post holders will need demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable people from street to home, confident at building relationships, conducting thorough assessments and working autonomously.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
