Working closely with the Tax Director - Group Tax, this person will be responsible for management of tax compliance, tax reporting and assisting with advisory projects in the EMEA region. The role will be based in the London office.

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Group Tax Function (GTF) is part of the Group Finance Function within the EMEA headquarters in London. The GTF is responsible for leading all tax compliance, tax reporting and technical advisory work for the EMEA Group. The GTF works across three broad areas:
1.Tax consolidation reporting to Japan.
2.Management of UK and EMEA tax compliance
3.Support on Tax advisory work

•Preparation of quarterly and annual group tax inputs for reporting to Japan and financial statements. Ensure correct information is obtained from underlying accounting systems for tax accounting under IFRS.
•Management of branches and subsidiaries to obtain the above information in a timely manner.
•Preparation of UK tax return - Collation of data from underlying systems from UK and overseas branches.
•Management of overseas tax compliance for various branches and subsidiaries. Ensuring tax payments are made in a timely manner.
•Working with and advising Group functions (Group Finance in particular) on related tax matters (e.g. WHT, projects/transactions).
•Supporting the governance, application and maintenance of the tax risk management framework and ensure it is operating consistently and effectively.
•Assistance in tax advisory projects e.g. tendering for new contracts, entering into new markets.
•Assistance with collation of data for transfer pricing documentation purposes.
•Keeping up to date with tax legislation and application to MHPSE’s business.
•Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
•Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.

Person Specification
•Qualification – ACA, CIOT
• Proven tax experience in Practice/Industry experience with a multinational
•Significant experience of communicating and presenting effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing, both with tax and non-tax teams
•Fluency in business English
