About the Role
We are currently seeking a SAP MM Functional Consultant to join our SAP rollout project based in Cambridge. The purpose of this role is to assist with the rollout of an existing central SAP system across the operation of a key business group that currently has a varied set of legacy systems. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package.
This position is currently offered on a 12 month fixed-term contract but this may be extended, depending on the needs of the business.
Using consulting and analytic skills and information gathering techniques, you will gather an understanding of the business requirements, recommend SAP functional solutions within, and around, the MM module and deliver the documentation necessary for the realisation of the changes. Your solutions will need to be compatible with previous solution design within MM, compatible with other SAP module designs and leverage SAP standard functionality as much as is reasonable.
You will be working in a project environment as part of the team of Functional Consultants, with support from the overall solution architect and business process consultant. You will be expert at creating high-quality documentation and a great team player. In later phases, you’d be performing unit testing, supporting business users with user acceptance testing and supporting the knowledge transfer work so that BAU staff are able to use your designs efficiently and effectively.
To be effective in the role, you’ll have strong background in SAP MM functional design across a range of organisations and SAP projects. Experience in Media, IS-Media and/or the publishing industry would be beneficial but not necessary. You’ll have experience with the SAP ASAP methodology. Also you will have a proven track-record of communicating your ideas to business stakeholders, project management and to SAP developer leveraging excellent inter-personal and documentation skills.
