Do you enjoy shopping, arts and crafts, keeping fit? Would you like to use these interests in your working life?
You'll be supporting three adults who have learning disabilities. They are two women and one man, who live in their own home in Shifnal, near Telford. You'll encourage them to keep up with friends and family and to enjoy a wide range of hobbies and interests. The man really enjoys keeping fit, going to the gym regularly and out walking. Both women enjoy shopping and various arts and crafts among many other activities.
You'll work with them to keep up with everyday life skills such as managing money, cooking, keeping their home clean and tidy.
We're recruiting for 1 part-time (30 hours per week) Support Worker to work in this service.
You don't need experience as we provide a full induction and loads of ongoing training and support. You'll be friendly, warm, patient and encouraging, willing to learn different ways of communicating. If you are a driver that would be great, but not essential.
