Xoserve provides a range of centralised services to the gas industry in Britain. It manages all the key data associated with the majority of the 24 million gas meter points nationwide through large and complex computer systems as well as the registration and customer switching services for the industry. Xoserve also manages the energy allocation and invoicing on behalf of the country’s large Gas Transporters, and through its knowledgeable employees helps the industry manage change to the processes and systems which enable the country’s commercial regime for gas to operate.

Xoserve are looking to build a best in class internal change assurance function, to provide oversight and assurance over our significant pipeline of change projects. The Change Assurance Specialist supports Xoserve’s Central Data Services Provider role, demonstrating high quality service delivery and change management capabilities.

This Change Assurance Specialist role reports to and receives strategic direction from the Head of Change Assurance, to reinforce Xoserve’s overall assurance expertise. The position holder will work collaboratively alongside a network of stakeholders including Xoserve’s Platform Directors, Portfolio Office and Programme/Project managers to ensure Xoserve’s portfolio of change projects are delivered to the appropriate and exceeding levels of quality, on time and to budget.

Role Requirements

The ideal candidate should come with a background in business transformation and change assurance, preferably within a programme/projects delivery environment.
Excellent skills should also include direct experience of monitoring projects or programmes from an assurance perspective, providing clear risk analysis and options for mitigation
Demonstrable experience of technology enabled transformation and business change.
Have an ability to look at business or project challenges in an analytical manner, articulating risk, impact, mitigation options and recommendations succinctly, and prepare insightful and compelling reporting.
Stakeholder and customer management is also key with the post holder responsible clarity of assurance communication in verbal and written form.
Establish the position as a ‘critical friend’ to provide constructive and valuable challenge with key stakeholders where necessary.
Understand (or have the ability to rapidly develop a strong understanding of) the interaction and relationship of business operations, change functions and operating systems and processes.
