If so we would love to speak with you...... We are currently seeking an IT Apprentice on a full time, fixed term basis to join our team in Bilston, Wolverhampton.
You will work as a member of the Support Team, acting as a first point of contact for all IT related requests, incidents and enquiries, providing a high quality service to all EDM customers and employees. You will have the opportunity to get involved with the management of IT hardware and software.
You will ensure all calls and emails to the IT Service Desk are recorded correctly, resolved and/or monitored for progress, escalating any potential serious problems. You’ll be resolving incidents across a range of technologies, achieving SLA’s and minimising the risk of service disruption.
Who we are looking for......
We will expect you to have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a calm and approachable attitude. You will be able to work to deadlines and be able to deal with issues through spotting common trends, identifying root causes and reacting appropriately.
You will ideally have GCSEs Maths and English, Grade A-C (or equivalent). An IT qualification or a keen interest in IT is expected, ideally with some experience of hardware and/or software.
