Overall Job Purpose
Reporting into the Senior Distribution Marketing Manager for VitalityLife, the Marketing Executive will be responsible for helping to support and grow the adviser channel including the Business Consultant Online (BCO) channel (a telephone based sales team in South Africa).
You’ll work with various teams across the business to ensure that our adviser and sales channels have compelling and consistent communications across multiple channels, and that the Vitality proposition is communicated clearly and on brand. You will be involved in end to end campaign execution including the creation and management of marketing material and communications to adviser and sales channels. This includes but is not limited to brochures, sales aids, video, presentations and digital content.
As a team, we work closely with both Health and Invest distribution marketing teams as well as the wider marketing team, training and technical marketing.
As part of this role, you will be expected to provide support to the team including some administrative duties such as processing invoices and managing the central marketing email inbox.
Your ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and manage various relationships across multiple, often changing, projects will be essential to your success in this role.
Create and manage marketing material for BCO and a VitalityLife product:
Execution of BCO marketing plan
Work with product, sales teams, technical marketing, design and wider distribution marketing team to create and develop marketing assets such as sales aids, emails, presentations, video, online tools and webpages
Manage items through a strict sign off process with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance and brand guidelines are adhered to
Distribute new and updated items to relevant channels.
Work with the distribution team, group social and content teams to execute the adviser social media plan, ensuring consistency and best practice is followed to improve reputation, recognition and adviser engagement.
Sales channel communication:
Collate content for weekly communication to our sales channels
Create and send communication using our email tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
Managing the marketing email inbox and assisting with queries.
Product launches, events and campaigns:
Work with the wider marketing team on opportunities which maximise our brand exposure, provide an optimal opportunity for explaining our product features, and align to our brand and product positioning strategy.
Assisting with updating or creating material in line with new/updated benefits/products.
Point of contact with our primary print supplier to help ensure all jobs are completed on time and at an acceptable quality. This includes overseeing the associated print budget and making sure all expenses are accounted for and within set budget limits
Helping the wider marketing manage printed stock effectively to ensure adequate stock levels at all times.
Marketing Qualification – Certificate in Professional Marketing or equivalent
Post graduate degree level
Proven track record within a marketing environment
Worked within or closely with a sales function
Experience working in a financial services organisation
An understanding of the Vitality products and the wider health and protection market
