If so we would love to speak with you…… EDM are currently seeking a talented Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our expanding team and help shape our future.
As a Systems Infrastructure Engineer you will ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organisational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all hardware, operating systems, third party applications and processes. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in projects from designing and costing options through to the implementation and documentation.
This is a demanding and proactive role, which requires you to monitor, maintain, support and optimise all hardware operating systems and associated third party applications. You will be involved in proposing and creating system design models, specifications and diagrams along with performing system backup procedures and other recovery processes.
Who we are looking for…….
We will expect you to have proven experience in installing hardware, operating systems, applications and related products in a data centre/ server room environment. You will have excellent hardware, software and network troubleshooting experience, along with a working technical knowledge of current software protocols, internet standards, website security and best practices. We are also looking for a proven ability to deliver results on time and to the highest possible standard.
You will possess excellent communication skills, and be able to communicate in a technical and non-technical manner. Being able to think on your feet is essential, along with the ability to work individually and as part of the EDM team. Also excellent organisation and prioritisation skills are a must, as you will often be working on multiple projects.
You should be highly technical, with a good all-round infrastructure support and build experience. Knowledge and experience of Active Directory and Group Policy, MS Exchange (2010 onwards), Windows Server OS 2003-2012 (support, design and build), Intel server hardware (HP particularly), are essential.
It would be great if you also have experience in VMWare Vsphere, Desktop OS Windows XP & 7 and McAfee EPO.
