Job Type: Permanent, Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm

Location: Based at our Head Office, South Manchester, M22 4SY

Salary: £12,000 per annum

Job description - IT Service Desk Apprentice

This is an excellent opportunity to start and build a career in IT, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to enrol on a Government backed ‘IT Apprenticeship’ covering periodical weekly blocked out IT workshops and modules held in Manchester across 18 months to obtain a recognised IT Infrastructure Level 3 qualification. This highly supportive training programme runs alongside working permanently onsite at Verastar to gain real-world experience.



The candidate will be working in a highly technical environment using the latest technologies. Experience of office administration as well as Microsoft based network administration would be extremely advantageous.



To be considered for this role you will possess the following;



Essential


Confident written and verbal communication skills
Experience of Office Administration
Experience of Microsoft Windows 7 & 10
Experience of PC and Laptop configuration, support and troubleshooting
Experience Microsoft Network Administration
Full Clean driving licence for Site Visits to our 3 local Manchester sites


Desirable


Experience of ITSM Incident logging tool
Stock ControlPeripheral Management
Purchasing
Inventory Management
3rd Party Relationship Management
Experience of Microsoft Active Directory user administration
Experience of Microsoft Office 2013/16 & Office 365
An understanding of ITIL Service Management approaches
Experience of configuring and administering phone systems for end users
