Corporate Development is a new function with overall responsibility for the Group’s M&A strategy, execution and integration, as well as other strategic initiatives such as Land & Expand (“L&E”).
The Associate will join a small, dynamic, London based team and play a key role in supporting the objectives of the wider Corporate Development team which are focused on delivery of M&A targets and other growth projects and initiatives. This will involve significant exposure and interaction with members of the Group Executive Committee (“GEC”), investors and other stakeholders.
The role will have a significant project based component and the successful candidate will therefore need to be flexible, mobile and have the ability to adapt to the ever changing needs of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Key role in co-ordination and preparation of board packs
Reporting and tracking “L&E” initiatives for board reporting and performance monitoring
Supporting the Corporate Development Director and “GEC” on longer term growth initiatives, investor relations (including debt providers) and other ad hoc strategic projects
Indentifying, researching and assessing new markets and capabilities to support future growth
Supporting the M&A process from initial desk based research to execution
Supporting M&A integration activity as required, working closely with the integration project teams
Skills & Experience:
Finance experience desirable but not essential
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Organised, enthusiastic self starter with an eye for detail
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
