We have an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our SES division based on site in Bristol. Reporting into the Managing Surveyor, this role will be accountable for the daily commercial management and administration of the project to achieve business objectives on a £5.4M MEP commercial office project.

Key Accountabilities include:




Production of subcontract enquiries & commercial validation of quotations received
Produce and manage project procurement schedule
Draft and close out supply chain appointments (sub-subcontractors & consultants)
Identify and manage opportunities and risks
Ensure timely recovery of cost / value
Manage and undertake the valuation process (client & supply chain)
Provide commercial support and advice to the project team
Produce timely project forecast documentation and associated reports and present to regional management team
Attend internal and external project meetings
Be active in the development of students, trainees and surveyors (both commercially and operationally)
Develop and encourage project team performance ensuring that SES’s main contractual obligations and strategies are executed and regularly reviewed




We are looking for an experienced and qualified Surveyor with an understanding of different procurement methods used in construction and the risks associated with each. You will also have a solid level of technical appreciation/competence in M&E with the ability to apply this to the management of valuation techniques and manage/undertake the measurement and valuation of change with the customer and supply chain.



To be successful in the role you will be a confident communicator, able to demonstrate the ability to form and develop relationships with all stakeholders.
