Wates

  • Abbots Langley
We currently have opportunities for Standards Advisors to join our established Quality team where the primary focus will be to promote the understanding and application of our integrated management system (the Operating Framework) whilst encouraging best practice and assisting with the continual improvement of Wates processes and procedures for our Construction teams nationally.

You will be responsible for developing people’s skills on the practical application of the Operating Framework and quality management, and positively influence Wates teams and key supply chain members behaviours so they actively deliver customer satisfaction and strive to reduce mistakes, rework / recalls and defects. You will also carry out compliance reviews (internal audits) in accordance with ISO 19011:2011 as identified by the Business Quality Manager on a range projects, activities and key supply chain members - providing accurate reports and publish to relevant parties.

To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business, with good writing and analytical skills and the ability to organise your own diary and meetings, which will include national travel. Ideally you will be a Quality Practitioner (PCQI) and IRCA trained internal auditor and some knowledge of construction or building services technology, including regulatory requirements and/or have experience of ISO 9001:2015 would be an advantage but what is most important is the drive, passion and personality to be able to make a difference across the Wates group.

Roles can be based in any of our Regional offices supporting the Construction North & South team, and ideally from York for SES but not essential.
