We are currently looking for a dynamic FMCG account manager to join our successful International team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a large commercial sales team supporting our varied international partners. You will be responsible for a wide portfolio of accounts within a number of markets, including grocers currently generating up to £3 million sales. You will be an experienced and commercially astute account manager with an excellent understanding of the full sales life cycle and will act as consultant within the wider business to drive your business area forward. Working within international territories you will be highly skilled in understanding individual markets and developing targeted solutions, consulting widely with internal support functions to ensure seamless execution.
The main responsibilities of the role will include;
Developing and delivering Distributor / Retailer / Market business plans in order to achieve agreed sales and contribution targets.
Work with and through Distributor / Retailer partners to implement agreed distribution strategies, by channel and/or by customer.
Ensure all relevant product launches and new product/brand initiatives are presented in a professional and timely manner.
Manage the balance between Seasonal and All Year Round business.
Effectively utilise and analyse all relevant and available internal and external data to optimise results.
Proactively identify new opportunities (and threats) within each Distributor / Retailer partner and develop appropriate solutions.
Ensure an appropriate level of communication is in place with all Distributor / Retailer partners, including face-to-face, verbal and written.
Take responsibility for the sales forecast and investment spend forecast for each Distributor / Retailer partner and ensure this is up-to-date, regularly reviewed and uploaded into all relevant internal databases.
Take a holistic business view to management of all relationships.
Assume some shared responsibility, together with other key members of the International Sales Team, for sourcing, screening and opening up new Distributor / Retailer / Market relationships.
Maintain an up-to-date awareness of international developments within the Group.
You will have gained account management experience within FMCG and will thrive in a fast paced and agile environment. Experience of managing International distributors is highly desirable along with a strong drive to deliver results.
