We currently have an opportunity for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join our dedicated team in Leicester and we really want to hear from you if;
You are customer focussed and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills?
You have the ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively to meet deadlines?
You have experience of working effectively in a target driven operational environment?
You have experience of working for a Housing Association or other public service organisation, in a capacity which involved face-to-face interaction with customers, resolving difficult issues?
This is a challenging role requiring an individual who can provide an efficient and effective customer focused service helping our customers sustain their homes through income maximisation, reviewing benefits, assisting with applications, appeals and back-dates helping them prepare for Universal Credit and other Welfare Reforms.
On a day to day basis you will set up and deliver advice surgeries, deal with arrears cases, assist with accessing all available welfare benefits, sign-post residents to specialist debt support agencies, conduct home visits when required and support residents to become digitally included.
You will also support the Income team in debt reduction targets, build relationships with DWP, Local Authorities and other external agencies.
We are looking for someone who can make a positive contribution to the team by developing policies and procedures, attending team meetings, training events and key Local Authority liaison meetings.
You will be a professional and self motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision, have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to adapt your communication style as appropriate to each client. A clear DBS application will be required for this post.
