About the role:



We are in need of a Jr. Release Engineer which will work within our Release Management Team. We are looking for a talented IT graduate or an experienced IT professional which is knowledgeable in Automation and Continuous Integration technologies.

You will have the exposure to provide support on building and deploying releases to a wide range of online digital products / websites delivering content from the Academic, Australia, Datashop, Business Solutions, ELT and WMP.

A key part of this role is to create software releases that contain fully tested, high quality code, suitable for deployment into the live environment.



About you:



An understanding of Software Development process including analysis and design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues in the Technology group as well as non-technical users. Interest in keeping up to date with the fast moving world of software packaging and deployment as technologies and processes continue to evolve.



Required skills: SVN, GIT, FTP/SFTP, Tar package creation, RPM package creation, VI Editor, Solaris and/or Redhat Administration. Amazon Web Service experience/knowledge is a plus.



Fresh graduates are welcome as long as knowledge on UNIX can be demonstrated.
