Purpose of the Role:

To lead and have accountability for the development and delivery of the marketing strategy for their assigned proposition areas, supporting the business strategy.
Work closely with Trading Directors and functional experts e.g. Digital Marketing, Corporate Comms, E-commerce and Operations to define marketing objectives and plans that support the delivery of that strategy.
To act as the Marketing Proposition expert, ensuring requirements and business strategies are clearly articulated to supporting functional teams. To act as the ‘voice of the customer’ for the trading division leadership team.

Job Description:

Manage specified proposition(s), leading the drive for overall marketing contribution towards business objectives e.g. income, retention, customer satisfaction
Play a full and active role within the leadership teams of their Trading Division
Work collaboratively with all parts of the Marketing team and wider business areas to ensure expert input is provided to all goals, objectives and deliverables
Ensure that ongoing market and customer insights are fed into day to day decision making as well as the longer term planning process
Work collaboratively with all parts of the Marketing team, develop and implement compelling effective marketing strategies supported by integrated campaigns and initiatives
Lead the marketing planning and budget process for specified propositions, working closely with the Trading Directors to define marketing objectives and new marketing strategies that support the delivery of the business objectives
Lead on the all site specific partnership marketing in conjunction with the Partnership and Distribution team
Drive local ROI measurement for all activity, ensuring a consistent environment of ‘test, learn and improve’
Ensure governance and compliance processes are adhered to correctly
Support wider business initiatives and projects from a marketing perspective as required
Manage and lead direct reports to ensure development of technical marketing and leadership skills and driving internal succession planning


Education –

A relevant marketing qualification either degree supported by CIM or IDM diploma (preferred)

Essential Criteria – Must be clearly demonstrated on CV

Experienced in successful B2C marketing (insight, proposition and marketing communications) – evidence of strong marketing experience in the Insurance sector
Experience and an understanding of project management to include planning, development and delivery of complex initiatives
Experience in engaging with Senior stakeholders across a broad remit of disciplines
Experience in co-ordinating virtual teams to deliver great outcomes
