Collated since 2001, the GÉANT Compendium gathers information about national research and education networks (NRENs) in areas such as network, funding and services via an annual survey. This information is collected with a view to track the evolution of the research and education networking community and ascertain trends across it.

In the previous year of the GÉANT project, efforts were undertaken to present the data collected in a more visual manner https://compendium.geant.org and we are now looking for someone to build on this work and enhance the site functionality and backend processes.

Working with the in-house software team and other internal stakeholders who manage the Compendium administrative process, you will ensure that the website looks and functions well for both internal and external users

You will be expected to be a self-starter, able to set and work towards priorities, and work towards common objectives to make the whole project successful.

You will be able to show your comprehensive understanding of the following:

full stack software development lifecycle
Extensive HTML5 / CSS3 development experience
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and front-end web development experience using JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, in particular Node.JS, Angular.JS, NV-D3.JS, Angular Material and related toolkits & libraries

Good database experience, preferably Postgres and MySQL DB
