Our Education Information, Advice & Guidance workers provide support to our learners, teaching staff and the prison allocation teams. The Education IAG worker is responsible for a learner’s induction into the education provision and also the promotion of courses to potential learners across the prison establishment.
The role will also include the recruitment of learners for courses, maintaining accurate records of achievement linked to initial assessment, close liaison with partner organisations such as St Giles Trust, National Careers Service (NCS) and the prison allocation and activity team. Providing ongoing advice and guidance about the courses we offer learners whilst offering appropriate support is essential to ensuring classes are sustainable.
