Support Workers Ref: LDS/951
£16,330 - £17,600 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
Various hours available and casual work available* (shifts may include waking nights, days, weekends and bank holidays)
*Successful casual workers are paid at a rate of £7.83 per hour and are required to pay £44.00 to cover the cost of their DBS application. Please state on your application form if you are interested in casual hours.
We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join our teams in Kirklees. The service provides nursing care for Clients with Physical and Learning disabilities some of whom present with behaviour that challenges services. You will be based within nursing residential and nursing respite services.
As part of these roles, you will be expected to:
Carry out all aspects of personal care,
Perform Moving & handling duties
Support clients in social/leisure activities within both the home and the community.
Undertake aspects of paperwork including support plans, risk assessments, DOLs.
Maintain good knowledge of current best practice and legislation
You will be required to support people in all areas of their lives from personal care, perform moving and handling to helping with household tasks and supporting clients in social/leisure activities within both the home and the community.
