Endeavour Academy Durham is an ambitious, new educational provider based in the east of the County. With high expectations, we are dedicated to meeting the educational needs of the individuals and communities we serve. We aim to provide high quality, alternative provision for young people aged from 14 years old, with progression pathways to employment, including apprenticeships, or the next level of study.
Trustees are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual, with both drive and enthusiasm, who has successful management experience of leading alternative provision and has already shown his or her potential to become an exceptional leader and manager. The successful candidate will be expected to provide clear leadership and direction to their team, delivering positive outcomes for young people.
Applicants should have a first degree (or equivalent), a successful track record of continuous quality improvement in alternative provision and a sound knowledge of priorities and developments in key stage 4 provision. Also essential are high-level leadership and management skills, proven ability to achieve challenging targets, demonstrable competence in data management as well as curriculum planning, the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively, and experience of successfully developing partnerships with all key stakeholders. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to equality of opportunity and have significant safeguarding experience.
