Shifts will be 7 days a week including nights, earliest and lates, with some 9-4:30 shifts
£26,967 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
Are you a hard-working, enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse with excellent communication skills, who is committed to delivering high standards of quality care?
If so, we have several exciting opportunities for Nurses to work within our respite service for individuals who require 24-hour nursing care. You will provide high quality nursing care and specialist nursing intervention to clients with learning disabilities. The successful applicant must be RNLD qualified and hold a valid UK driving licence, being able to drive a manual car for work purposes.
As a respite service, we provide regular short breaks to 17 guests with a variety of care needs, this provides the opportunity to develop a wide range of nursing skills. We work closely with families and other care providers to ensure guests receive comprehensive, individualised and consistent care.
We provide nursing care for clients with complex health needs and both physical and learning disabilities. The successful candidates will be expected to provide personal care, moving and handling, support with meals and medication and some challenging behaviours. There is also an expectation for the successful candidates to take on the role of Named Nurse for some guests and take responsibility for writing reviews and updating support plans and risk assessments, plus liaise with families, day centres and other members of multi-disciplinary team such as physio.
