To accept deliveries of samples/equipment onto site
To accurately and rapidly register samples/equipment for analysis and despatch samples to the relevant business location
To liaise with couriers and customers and Eurofins drivers to enable timely collection and despatch of work to external and internal facilities.
To follow standard operating procedures and safe working practice to ensure the safety of self and colleagues.
To ensure that all equipment is kept within recommended limits for calibration and maintenance in order to adhere to quality targets.
Ensuring that any relevant sample logs are kept up to date.
Responsible for correct temperature storage of samples on receipt and prior to processing.
Responsible for coding and logging of samples onto the in house LIMs (IT System)
Responsible for despatching adhoc samples to clients, which includes sub-contracting samples to other sites.
Will be required to answer incoming calls and make out going calls to follow up on customers and must maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
Responsible for maintaining some stock inventory.
Carry out basic laboratory techniques to assist laboratory staff.
This position is based within our water testing laboratory.
The shift days and times are; Tuesday to Saturday 7:00am - 3:00pm

Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently but also the ability to support colleagues if need be
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
This position is based within our water testing laboratory so experience or an interest in water microbiology is desirable.
