Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Services Manager is responsible for the provision of high quality effective HR Services and advice within the employee lifecycle. This involves the management of day-to-day operations and transactional services, ensuring that a high quality service is provided which delivers against agreed standards. This role is a key driver in the delivery of service improvements and ensuring that the HR services provided maximise productivity, inspire customer confidence and are fit for organisational purpose.

Organisational Environment

Xoserve provides a range of centralised services to the gas industry in Britain. It manages all the key data associated with the majority of the 24 million gas meter points nationwide through large and complex computer systems as well as the registration and customer switching services for the industry. Xoserve also manages the energy allocation and invoicing on behalf of the country’s large Gas Transporters, and through its knowledgeable employees helps the industry manage change to the processes and systems which enable the country’s commercial regime for gas to operate.

Position Accountabilities

Lead and manage the HR Services team in the provision of high quality, timely and accurate services including but not limited to recruitment, health and wellbeing, learning and development, employee relations (case management) and payroll administration.
Provide high quality and consistent HR advice and management of end to end HR transactional services to the organisation in line with policy and internal service agreements.
Provide specialist advice and act as the primary contact for the organisation in relation to all Employee Relations matters providing pragmatic and fit for purpose advice for the purpose of resolution of issues and queries.
Develop and monitor standard HR operating procedures to ensure a high quality and consistent service delivery.
Manage, review and modify systems, processes and policies in response to, and addressing, business needs ensuring that they are effective and efficient and meet statutory compliance as a minimum.
Manage and review brought-in HR services to ensure they provide a service fit for purpose, offer value for money and are delivered against service level agreements meeting all Key Performance Indicators.
Work with the Head of HR to support the development and implementation of a holistic people strategy and implement and deliver programmes and initiatives through annual operating plans.

Support the HR Coordinators and HR Administrators on delivery of key activities relating to but not exclusive to; Recruitment and Selection, Induction and On boarding, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Learning & Development including being a key contact for MyPerformance.
