We have vacancies for Relief (Bank) Support Workers in the Hampshire area, supporting adults with learning disabilities. This means you will work shifts as needed when our regular staff are on holiday, on sick leave or during other periods of additional need. We will pay you on an hourly rate basis for the time worked, and shifts offered can include weekdays and weekends.
A working day for a Relief Support Worker might include going for a walk in the park or to a football match with someone we support, working with someone to do the shopping, prepare meals and wash up, engaging people in creative activities such as painting and music. This isn't always an easy job, but when you see the pride in someone's face when they achieve a new goal, no matter how small, you'll find out just how rewarding it is.
We welcome people with previous experience in the care sector, but this is not essential. If you are a caring, creative and patient person then you have the qualities needed for this job, and we will provide all the training, day-to-day assistance and back-up you'll need. You may simply be looking for a way to earn some extra money in the most worthwhile way and applying is the first step in the this direction.

The people we support here have a wide variety of interests and needs. You will be supporting them to learn and maintain life skills and social networks.
