We are currently recruiting for a Cable Laying Operative to join our Construction team. This is a home/area based position covering the South region with the installation of electrical mains infrastructure.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Regional Construction Manager, you will be responsible for -

Install Electrical Infrastructure as instructed, ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions.
Identify and understand utility plans
Undertake Cable Laying activities as and when required.
Assist the Team Leader with the accurate recording of these installations using As Laid Drawings.
Submit relevant work details for recording and invoicing in the required timescales
Accept delivery of plant and materials and check fitness for purpose prior to use.
Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain in good condition, and report any defects to their Line Manager.
Complete site-specific risk assessments daily and ensure maintenance of a safe working environment.
Attend “toolbox talks” and other training courses as required
Being a point of contact for other members of the Cable Laying team.

You will be working on multiple development sites carrying out manual handling responsibilities. You will represent the company to a high standard at all times.

You will be required to hold a current driving license and CSCS Card. An NRSWA certificate for operatives is desirable but not essential. Along with this you will have Cable Laying and Cable Winching qualifications.
