We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our established Smartspace division where the primary focus will be to provide visible leadership, direction and insight in the safe delivery of refurbishment and fit-out schemes to the Business Unit.
Wates Smartspace delivers high quality fit-out and refurbishment services for our multinational customers across all corners of the UK, creating attractive, efficient and profitable spaces that support our clients’ business strategies. Our highly skilled teams have a wealth of experience and a robust track record in undertaking a range of services from minor refresh works and conversions to full developer shell fit-outs and complex refurbishment projects.
We are experts in delivering fast-track programmes within live environments, without compromising on quality or safety.
Key Accountabilities will include:
Understands the requirements of the project and ensures that all contract administration / procedures are undertaken.
Control and manage site/project budgets including profit and loss plus budget constraints.
Develop, control and ensure delivery against the project budgets including profit, preliminaries, procurements etc.
Understands and develops the agreed strategy conceived in the bid phase for project delivery.
Ensure measures are established for the timely delivery of design information.
Agree requirements for time, cost and quality aspects of trade contractor packages.
Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress, and implement actions to achieve targeted performance.
Develop and implement site establishment and ensure the efficient and effective management of site logistics.
We are looking for a qualified Project Manager with good writing and analytical skills and have solid experience managing either retail or office fit-out, refurbishment and cut and carve projects in the UK market.
To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business.
