We currently have an exciting opportunity for a number of Activity Facilitators, to work within one of Fortis Living’s three Retirement Villages. These villages are situated across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

In this exciting role, you will have the chance to help us grow our services, increase our volunteering numbers and enable older people to engage within their local communities.

As an Activity Facilitator, you will support the Activity and Volunteer Co-ordinator to grow and deliver a range of innovative, inspiring activities and events programme, to support older people and enable them to get involved with village life.

Key responsibility of this role include:




to enhance health and wellbeing and social inclusion for the village’s residents.
to support, supervise and develop our volunteers across the Retirement Villages.
to be customer focused to deal with members of the public as well as the residents of the village.
to make links with relevant local agencies, improving the range of activities on offer.




Within this role you will be required to undertake some associated administration with organising, bookings, promoting and delivering activities and events as required. This includes income generation, through activities, events, fundraising and membership initiatives.

To work in partnership with other colleagues to compliment other village service areas, ensuring excellent customer service, maximising outcomes for the customer.



About you

Interested? To be considered, you will need to be a people person, enthusiastic with a can do approach. You will be well organised and self-motivated, driven to deliver a great customer experience. You will be a good team player, but equally able to work on their own initiative. You will have experience of working in a people or service delivery environment encouraging and supporting participation. You will be confident in group settings and able to communicate flexibly responding to customer needs.



Proactive and enthusiastic, as an Activity Facilitator, you’ll have excellent communication skills. You’ll also be able to motivate and inspire others, as well as effectively prioritise your workload.
