This role requires exceptional people skills, enthusiasm and a passion for the work St Marys does. You will be one of the most visible faces in the organisation. Your role will be to inspire and guide St Marys’ supporters, ensuring you are always maximising opportunities whilst delivering the highest standard of donor care. Confident, creative and dynamic you will build long-term relationships with supporters across our community. This position requires resilience, a highly organised approach and the ability to work simultaneously on a number of projects across St Mary’s catchment area. Main Duties and Responsibilities • Secure, build and maintain long-term relationships within a broad spectrum of the community including individuals, community groups, schools, groups and businesses • Understand the importance of stewardship to ensure you are delivering a high level of donor support. • Implement fundraising initiatives in order to maximise income and increase awareness of the cause. • Encourage, through community engagement, the organisation of third party events that will maximise income generation within the area. • Ensure careful planning, risk assessment, and evaluation of all Community Fundraising activities, so that they comply with charity law and the Codes of Fundraising Practice and Code of Conduct. • To maximise opportunities for the Fundraising Team and the wider organisation by identifying and sharing ideas, information and contacts, and managing opportunities appropriately • Motivate, inspire and engage with our volunteers. Maximise opportunities for volunteer support. • Autonomous and manage your work week well • To keep up-to-date with new developments, legalities, codes of conduct and best practice within both this and the wider fundraising sector. • Participate in personal training, development, appraisal and undertake attend all relevant training as required. • Ensure that all activities and contacts are managed though the Donorflex system and that data is kept up to date and managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act. • Attend and contribute to Fundraising Team meetings. Any Other Duties • To carry out any other duties within the general scope of the post as and when required. • To provide support to other members of the fundraising team as necessary.
