SEND Teacher

Primary SEND school in North London
Supporting pupils with a range of needs including SLD, PMLD, and complex needs
September 2020 start
Full-time, long-term (potential to go permanent for the right candidate)
Daily rate of £130-£180 dependent on experience

TimePlan Education are currently recruiting for an SEND teacher to work in a primary school based in North London that caters for pupils with a range of needs including SLD, PMLD, and complex needs. The role is a long-term, full-time opportunity to commence ASAP. The candidate will be responsible for covering PPA, covering Leadership Time, classes, and supporting with interventions. This is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' school that prides itself on it's inclusivity and teamwork. The school will consider candidates who are unqualified or who have experience as an HLTA.

Job Responsibilities

To differentiate teaching strategies to support pupils with SEND, as well as providing a balanced curriculum including the National Curriculum
To work effectively alongside parents/carers, therapists and other school staff
To lead a team of support staff
To cover leadership time, classes, and supporting pupils with interventions

Job Requirements

PGCE or equivalent teaching degree with QTS
Will consider unqualified teachers or HLTAs with previous experience
Experience working with pupils with SEND
Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
