We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of HNW Premier Wealth Manager

Based in Guernsey this a client facing role managing the HSBC relationship with our highest value locally resident clients where professionalism, client focus and an expert understanding of financial planning and wealth products are critical to the success of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for offering a blend of regulated and non-regulated solutions to meet the needs of existing local Premier clients as well as identifying and introducing new clients to the portfolio. Experience of positioning and fulfilling investment and protection requirements of UHNW customers is essential for this role.

The jobholder will own and manage a ready-made portfolio consisting of c150 HNW relationships. The job holder will need to have experience and a successful track record of growing the value of portfolios through networking, both internally and externally, and effective relationship management leading to organic portfolio growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify opportunities in your day to day activities that directly or indirectly contribute to the success of colleagues with differing responsibilities, particularly in other areas of HSBC such as Insurance and Asset Management

  • Deliver a consistent and tailored wealth management service to our most valuable Premier clients

  • Develop long-term, in depth client relationships

  • Acquire new clients with proactive strategic planning

  • Lead Premier activities to ensure opportunities are identified and client needs are met effectively, maximising all available resources

  • Comply with the relevant Group standards including GHQ and the Regulatory organisation as applied to the implementation of the RBWM strategy in their country

  • The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate leadership capabilities and be able to deputise for the Area Director - Premier when required.

Qualifications required:
  • Have role relevant qualifications, i.e. Dip CII (or equivalent QCF RDR level 4 qualification)
  • Hold Competent Adviser Status (CAS) or has held it within the past five years.
Knowledge& Experience required:

  • Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Private Banking / Commercial Banking. Relationship Management, Ultra and High Net Worth Clients.
  • Excellent business/relationship development track record
  • Strong client focus with experience of building long term partnerships and managing complex relationships with significant clients.
  • Expert knowledge in financial planning and wealth products.
  • Sound knowledge of the impact of macroeconomics/microeconomics/local market developments.
  • Strong client focus and ability to develop long term partnerships with clients.
  • Ability to deliver needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing, and sales skills.
