Temporary Payroll Specialist Role
· Payroll Specialist
· Up to £40,000 pro rata
· 3 month temporary role - may be extended
· City of London - remote working
· Workday Experience
My client, a Financial Services / Membership Organisation based in the City of London, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to assist with all aspects of payroll, to include processing - circa 700 staff nationally.
As a Payroll Specialist, you shall be working in a team of 4, each with your expertise in different HR and Personnel areas, but your main focus will be to oversee WORKDAY reporting and using WORKDAY to process the payroll.
Payroll was previously run by an external Payroll and Accounts company based abroad, however, earlier this year my client implemented Workday as their Payroll / HCM Management platform, and payroll has recently gone live with Workday. My client has over 700 employees in the UK and they need a Workday specialist, with operational experience of running a similar sized payroll.
This will cover UK employees.
You will work closely with the US team who hare familiar with Workday. We are looking a strong Workday Payroll Specialist based in the UK, to liaise with the US / Global team, to ensure the UK payroll with local / regional variances is effectively managed, the calculations are correct, so that when the monthly Global payroll is activated, there is a high degree of accuracy and minimal payroll queries.
My client does have a large presence in the UK, so there are quite a few variances to consider around hours works / overtime etc which will change every month. It is therefore very important that the processes are in place to ensure the payroll is accurate prior to the payment run being activated. This is a role that really can influence change and drive improvements within the business unit, operationally and strategically too.
You will be working from home. This is a full-time temporary role.
