Are you a skilled writer with a knack for explaining complicated messages to newcomers? Can you adapt your writing style to suit different subjects and varying audiences? Do you have experience of interpreting a brief to deliver a top-notch copy in demanding circumstances? We're looking for a talented copy writer to join the team responsible for the Warhammer beginners programme.
Day to day you'll be writing everything from beginners guides and tutorials to adverts, web-copy and point of sales material. You'll work closely with the team's supervising editor to make great briefs, and the team's graphic designer to plan the best possible content. Everything you do will be to support other areas of Games Workshop in reaching new people - so you'll be liaising with key individuals around the company to take on board what they need, and interpreting that for the good of your readers. You'll be collaborating a lot, so solid communication skills are a must. The deadlines for your work will often be tough, so you'll need to be used to working at a brisk pace, and never afraid of rewrites. There will always be plenty to do, you'll never be bored - as part of the wider Warhammer Community team effort, you'll find yourself lending a hand to all manner of projects and initiatives.
Most importantly though, you'll be able to help define the voice of Warhammer to newcomers - and produce some awesome material to help them find their way in the Warhammer hobby.

Note, you do not have to be an expert in Warhammer to be successful in this role, but you will need to demonstrate in your cover letter that you understand our hobby. We need someone who knows what makes our hobby great, and is excited to share that, and teach it to new people.
