About the Role:

As an SEO Team Manager, your purpose is to deliver outstanding results within Organic Search through your own strategies. You will report into the SEO team lead, with the role requiring you to work closely with clients and colleagues, helping your team to set up, manage and optimise multiple campaigns whilst also owning your own.

You will be responsible for the creation, optimisation, overseeing of implementation and performance analysis for your allocated accounts, helping govern overall strategy and ensuring that performance targets are reached. You will need to deliver regular reports, actionable insight, strategies and deliverables to clients and internal stakeholders, showing SEO results, highlighting key trends and offering suggestions for continued improvement. You will also be responsible for members of the team that you manage and commercials within the SEO department, alongside the SEO team lead.

Competencies of an SEO Team Manager:

Experience working in SEO at a high standard, owning the strategy for clients in the past and having demonstrated the capability to win new business.
Agency experience is essential, the candidate will have experience managing a team and managing several clients across different industries.
A strong passion for SEO and data insight is essential, relishing the prospect of working across multiple accounts and platforms and managing a team, within a fast-paced agency environment.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and build effective working relationships, especially with Account Directors and educate them on the importance of SEO
Ability to lead meetings and calls with your expert knowledge of SEO and make decisions based upon previous experiences and understanding
Advanced working knowledge of Office Suite, incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Actively share SEO insight throughout the team to garner better SEO understanding and create relevant processes and learning materials/templates
Ability to manage a team where required and be the point of contact for any issues that arise within the SEO team when the head of SEO is unavailable
Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console and how to gather insight from each, alongside understanding of insight gathering from tools such as AhRefs
An expert knowledge of both technical and content SEO, with the capability to create comprehensive SEO audits to a high standardWhat Next?
