Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to working with one of our Rotherham based clients to recruit a HR Manager. Operating within the Charity sector, reporting into the CEO and supported by a HR Assistant this is a full time, onsite role.
The HR Manager will be responsible for the people who work for the organisation, for all operational and strategic HR matters, ensuring that the organisation adheres to Employment Law, creating a positive working environment, developing individuals and nurturing talent, and making the business an employer of choice.
What the role involves:
*Leading the Human Resources Team in managing the Company's HR policies, systems and processes
*The development and delivery of a corporate HR strategy, which will include recruitment and selection, staff induction and initial training, staff retention, tracking of staff development, employee relations, contract management, oversight of the Company's HR administration system and all aspects of HR administration across the organisation
*Supporting managers with the implementation of change management strategies
*Leading on the development of new policies and procedures, ensuring that the Company is up to date with correct legal requirements
*Managing the relationship between the charity and employment law solicitors and the legal insurance supplier, ensuring the charity is in line with diversity policies and collating and reporting data based on this
*Overseeing the HR aspects of payroll administration, working closely with the Head of Finance to ensure accurate, timely and compliant/effective processes are in place
*Managing, coordinating and supervising the HR Team ensuring that they work together, assuming responsibility for their roles and the decisions that come with them
*Identifying broad training and development needs across the organisation, and ensuring that appraisals and performance management is taking place.
To be successful in the role:
*Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
*Up-to-date knowledge of UK Employment Law, Case Law and best practice
*Excellent people management skills, with the ability to manage people to achieve desired outcomes
*HR practitioner experience in the commercial, public or third sector
*Experience of providing expert advice, support and guidance to managers and staff
*Experience of managing the full life cycle of employee relations and performance
*Experience of developing user-friendly HR policies and procedures
