Tax Policy and Advocacy Manager - Blue-chip company - London - Circa £70k-£75k plus benefits package

Robert Walters are hiring for a Tax Policy and Advocacy Manager for a leading blue-chip member organisation.

The Tax Policy and Advocacy Manager will represent the organisation and its members from a tax perspective, with the aim of creating a better, fairer tax system in the UK, and thus benefiting its members and the wider country.

There are two main areas of responsibility:

- Policy and Advocacy - Working with politicians, NGOs, advocacy groups etc to lobby and help improve the UK's tax systems, for example by contributing to working groups, panels, white papers and on occasion directly speaking to the news media

- Member Services - Providing services to and creating engagement with this organisation's members around taxation, for example technical updates, newsletters, creating and delivering webinars, responding to topical events e.g. The Budget, or new legislation.

The company are looking for someone qualified (ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CIOT) who has broad experience across different areas of taxation, including some experience/knowledge of VAT / Indirect Tax.

This experience could come from a general practice role where you have covered multiple types of tax work, or perhaps an industry role covering both direct tax and indirect tax.

This is a permanent full-time role with short regular hours, and no need to work late hours ever - So offering a great work life balance.

The position is based in their Central London office but allows 3 days per week working from home.

The role comes with a salary of circa £70k-£75k plus a great benefits package.
