Our client are a dynamic and hugely ambitious start-up focused on the financing, construction and operation of renewable infrastructure across the UK.

They are currently seeking to hire a Project Development Manager, who will be instrumental in helping them to build a robust pipeline of UK battery storage projects.

The company will fund, build and run the assets, after acquiring them at shovel-ready stage.

With an initial focus on the UK, the business anticipates massive growth, delving into diverse projects and international geographies.


The Project Development Manager role is a critical role for scaling the business. In this role, you would be building our client's pipeline of shovel-ready battery storage projects.

You would play a key role in deciding which sites they build, where, and why. Initially this would be focused on the UK, and battery storage - starting by identifying shovel-ready sites to acquire, and gradually developing greenfield sites.


Build a robust pipeline of battery storage projects.
Effectively prioritise the project pipeline.
Conduct high-level site analysis to determine which sites to acquire.
Submit offer tenders.
Optimise for speed.
Support the procurement process (EPC, O&M).


2+ years in business development or technical roles for electricity projects (aware of the CDM regulations and roles).
BESS experience is preferred, but not required.
Electrical engineering background preferred.
Exceptional project management skill set.
