We have an exciting new role! An opportunity to lead positive change in sustainability and carbon emissions relating to product and supply chains. If you are passionate about meeting customers sustainability needs then this is a fantastic role in the UK's largest distributor of building materials

Location: Our head office is based in Northampton, however, we're working with a genuine hybrid model where you'll have a great work life balance.

What you'll do

As the Sustainable Products & Services Manager you will work with our commercial teams and suppliers to deliver the organisation's product sustainability commitments. You will be part of the Travis Perkins commercial team whilst providing expertise across the wider Group.

You'll champion colleague and supplier engagement that will support the success of our 'Building for Better' programme. By providing specialist knowledge and programme management you will ensure effective commercial adoption.

This role will evolve to meet changing customer and industry needs. The current focus is:

- Development and communication of our sustainable product offering to guide and support customer decision making
- Minimise the financial exposure to new packaging regulations.
- Manage related product attributes, data management requirements, and product profiles
- Determine the commercial plans to support Net Zero Carbon and Scope 3 commitments
- Supporting the development of sustainable services linked to products
- Effective management of customer data requests in relation to procurement

Is this you?

To be considered for this role you need to be passionate about sustainability! You will have experience within the technical aspects of sustainability, particularly relating to product, packaging and supply chains. It is essential that you have knowledge of product legislation and environmental impact.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and influence change at all levels. You have previously delivered change within an organisation and can translate customer insight into effective plans.

It is essential that you have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. You will be self driven, highly organised and have outstanding attention to detail.
