Job Description

Our client, the family office for a High-Net-Worth family, is looking to an experienced Accountant to join a small team of 2. The main responsibility of this role is the accounting and financial support for family members, their PAs, and their businesses. Specific duties will include:

All banking operations for family member's personal accounts, including overall responsibility for coordinating all payments via AP, managing balances between banks to ensure individuals benefit from maximum interest yield whilst maintaining appropriate balances for day-to-day expenditure
Produce detailed monthly personal cash flow analyses, including anticipation for future funding requirements for major outgoings and any resulting FX requirements
Supporting the preparation of the information and analysis for meetings with family members, including the production of personal accounts, analysis, and forecasts
Collating data for the business and personal tax returns for the Tax Team and dealing with ad hoc queries
Acting as key finance contact for family businesses; preparing full management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations every month. This will entail transactional accounting through to Finance Business Partnering
Producing quarterly management packs, including financial and non-financial commentary
Producing statutory accounts
Providing oversight and reviewing monthly management accounts for family businesses, supported by an Accounts Assistant, including commentary and analysis against budget
Supporting the Senior Family Accountant to review and agree budgets and periodic forecasts prepared by business managers
Ad hoc projects
Person Specification

Qualified accountant with 2-5 years PQE
Degree qualified (ideally)
Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
Able to communicate and interact with individuals from a range of backgrounds
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to work in a fast-moving and fluid environment
Keen to suggest improvements to ways of working
Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Salary

£35,000 - £45,000 plus 6% bonus, private medical and dental cover, 27 days holiday, free parking, free lunch, and gym
