Job Description

The Three Shires Inn is keen to recruit a hands on Assistant Manager who is a team player and dedicated to exceptional customer service. 

The Three Shires is a 4 star country inn located in the stunning valley of Little Langdale, Ambleside. The Inn has 10 bedrooms, a popular walker’s bar and restaurant which offers a local produce based menu serving lunch and dinner.  More details can be found at

Duties include:

  • Meeting and greeting guests and customers
  • Day to day running of the Inn, working closely with the owners and the Head Chef
  • Serving beverages and food to guests and customers  
  • Room management and working with the online booking systems
  • Daily financial management (end of day reconciliation etc)
  • The Recruitment, training, mentoring and evaluation of team members
  • Supplier / inventory management
  • Assist in other areas as required

Requirements:  Relevant experience, hands on, customer focused, team management, computer literate (experience with point of sale and booking systems), problem solver, able to delegate and have a good eye for detail.

Live in accommodation is available for the right candidate.  

A highly competitive salary and package is available based on capability and experience. 


45 hours per week.
