E&O/PI Claims Adjuster - City - Salary negotiable - Specialist Insurance Provider

Due to the rapid growth of the Claims team, the role as a E&O/PI Claims Adjuster has arisen.

Your new role

Your new role working as a Claims Adjuster handling E&O/PI Claims mean you will deliver a high quality claims service to policyholders, brokers, underwriters and capacity providers. You will act as an effective TPA for the capacity providers in accordance with Binding Authority SLAs & claims handling agreements. You will proactively handle claims from first notification of loss (FNOL) to settlement, to include coverage, legal liability and quantum analysis, within the scope of their delegated authorities. You will foster good relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters and capacity providers, and drive excellent customer service, ensuring that there is prompt and accurate reserving, identifying and pursuing relevant third-party recoveries and seeking to reduce claims leakage. You will also work closely with their panel of service providers to ensure a quality and value for money service is provided/received within required timeframes and relevant attorney/adjuster guidelines, as well as supporting the Claims Director and claims team whilst working closely with underwriters, attending underwriting meetings, providing feedback on claims issues/trends and the products team concerning the development of products and wordings. Other duties will include general claims administrative duties such as electronic file management filing and payment requests, and the production of management information.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Claims Adjuster with experience with Errors & Omissions and Professional Indemnity claims within the professions space (Architects, Engineers, Miscellaneous Professionals, Accountants and Design and Construction) will contribute to your success. You will have the ability to prioritise and identify deadlines such as those stipulated within lawsuits, demand letters and in addressing claims queries. You will have experience working with Lloyd's Binding Authorities, Lloyd's Managing Agents/syndicates. You will have a good understanding of insurance policy wordings - E&O/PI wordings in particular. You will have good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail as well as having excellent organisational skills and ability to operate under pressure. Knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel, and use of ECF is an advantage.
