Administrators - Supply Chain - Huddersfield

This position is working for Saint-Gobain Building Distribution; Global winners of TOP EMPLOYER 2016, 2017 and 2018.

We are looking for two highly motivated individuals to join Saint-Gobain Building Distribution.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and well established team and play a pivotal role in providing a first class service.

Your role will be to work as part of a customer service team to provide excellent customer engagement to all Stakeholders, responding to enquiries quickly and efficiently and within agreed contractual KPIs, escalating where appropriate.

Your responsibilities will include...

  • Working remotely with the 3rd party DC Customer solutions team.
  • Investigating stock discrepancies on the IT systems
  • Creating credits to branches
    • Within the SLA timescales
  • Assisting the DC inventory controllers.
    • Supplier Purchasing
    • Supplier purchase discrepancies
    • Administration
  • Tracking branch claims and claim trends

This list is not exclusive - other reasonable duties and projects may be assigned from time to time.

Experience required


  • Good GCSE standard of education which must include English and Maths
  • Good telephone and customer service skills
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • PC literate - Word, Excel (Intermediate), Outlook, databases
  • Flexible with ability to deal with high volumes
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as well as being a team player
  • Accurate data entry skills


  • Proven experience of inventory or supply chain within a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Intermediate level of database use and generation (Microsoft Access)
  • Experience using the Kerridge system
  • Experience of Microsoft Sharepoint
