BPD Zenith Limited is an IBM Premier Business Partner and a leading reseller and implementer of its Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software.  We provide a complete range of services from initial implementation to fully managed and hosted cloud-based solutions.  BPD is part of an international group that has offices in the UK, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Macau.  Our primary Sectors are Oil & Gas, Facilities Management and Manufacturing.

 

The Role

BPD Zenith is undergoing a period of growth, both in its Software Sales (cloud-based SaaS and traditional licensing) and Service offerings.  This is due to widespread recognition of the high-quality Maximo implementations we have delivered over recent years, the building of strong relationships with key influencers, and the increasing global recognition of our capabilities.  To capitalise on this, BPD is recruiting a UK based Graduate Business Development Analyst.

The successful candidate will ideally have a technology degree and an interest in moving towards a technical sales role or Business Development Manager position. The incumbent will be highly motivated, embedded within the delivery team initially. The first six months will see them gain Maximo Functional Analyst qualifications while building their knowledge of our core businesses and sales methods. As part of the role, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with major software vendors and established software sellers within BPD Zenith.

As part of the sales team the incumbent will be eligible for commissions based upon tenders that they have worked.

BPD’s Graduate scheme lasts for 24 Months, during that time it is expected that several ‘milestones’ are passed satisfactorily accompanied with quarterly progress reviews. This will include fully funded training and development that will enable the incumbent to have a ‘Cradle to grave’ view of managed services. Salary increases will be available upon completion of these milestones and pending positive quarterly reviews.

 

Accredited training offered

  • IBM Maximo Functional Analyst (to be completed within first 6 Months)
  • ITIL V4 Foundation (Loaded onto course after 12 months and successful completion of the above)
  • Prince2 Agile Foundation (After 18 months and successful completion of both the above)

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Client Management
  • Establishing potential leads
  • Researching new lines of business
  • Interpreting data from salesforce and Google Analytics
  • Create Financial models
  • Building of tender documentation for both ad hoc bids and future-use
  • Respond to Invitations to Tender, pre-qualification questionnaires etc. as appropriate
  • Accurate Sales forecasting
  • Actively engage with the Marketing team and support campaigns/events as required
  • Attend industry meetings
  • Host/co-ordinate Maximo user forums in conjunction with Marketing team

 

Key Attributes, Skills & Experience

  • A Technology degree or demonstrable experience in a technology with supporting collateral/portfolio
  • Recognise the importance of building long term profitable customer relationships
  • Operate with complete integrity
  • Interest in technology, particularly emerging tech like IOT
  • Business acumen. Both Economic and Business interest, demonstrable discussion points about both
  • Experience of success in customer facing roles at any level
  • Good presentation skills and willing to present self as part of the recruitment process
  • A high-level understanding of business processes, open to broadening knowledge into Delivery, Support and Development
  • A broad understanding of Infrastructure and software
  • Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Personable, you will be expected to meet face to face with clients on a regular basis
  • Willingness to travel (mainly UK but potential for some foreign travel)

Essential: Experience of handling customers and progressing sales situations - at any level (Interim roles, holiday jobs etc.)

Essential: Has a high level understanding of cloud technologies, new media, Internet of things and drivers for change in the IT market

Desirable: Experience and enthusiasm for the IT Software and Services Industry

Desirable: Familiar with Social Media Platforms to promote BPD Zenith
